Curious about how electricity operators control the power systems? Took some entry-level energy/power courses but not sure how they work in the real world? IEEE UofT Student Branch is hosting a power systems case competition for junior engineering students, so come learn and build your own energy system!
WHAT: Case competition on energy system optimization: each team will be presented with a power system and be judged on how well they can direct the energy flow within it. We’ll be hosting tutorials for the competitors prior to the competition itself, and the winning team will be presented with prizes!
WHO: Geared towards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students, but open to everyone!
TEAMS: 4-5 students per team.
REGISTRATION: Grab your early bird tickets today for $5/person until March 1st! After that, tickets will be sold for $7/person until March 10th. After you register on Eventbrite, please SIGN UP AS A TEAM at: https://goo.gl/forms/gdsJA7MJnWv9PIo02. NOTE that you are only guaranteed a spot after you have signed up on BOTH!
